PEER SUPPORT - ADULTS AND SENIORS
Social recreational programs provide adults and seniors with special needs the unique opportunity to get together and participate in organized recreational activities with their peers. People with special needs require an outlet to express themselves and have fun. These types of programs create a friendly, life changing environment for its members where they can plan activities with the assistance and coordination of staff members. Optimally, these programs should provide their members with opportunities to take part in a variety of community activities, including theater, bowling, talent and magic shows, movies, bingo nights, arts and crafts, overnight weekend trips, summer barbeques, and holiday and theme parties.
