Understanding Special Education Law

Parents strive to be the best advocates they can be for their child, but navigating special education laws and regulations can be challenging. This lecture provides participants with an overview of the rights afforded by the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and complementary New York state laws, and ways to secure appropriate and meaningful special education and related service plans for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
